Monday likes "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever"

"The Best Christmas Pageant Ever! very much lives up to Kaleidoscope’s “profes- sional theatre for the whole family” mantra. If a childless, non church-going theatre reviewer like me can catch it and have a good time, that’s saying a lot for the calibre of theatre Kaleidoscope has put on stage."

"While we’re treated to a strong cast of adult’s the young performers who really shine."

"Kudos too to Sabrina Miller’s impressionistic set design and Alexandar Brendan Ferguson’s some- times-cheeky sound effects, particularly in the cellphone ringtone department."

- Amanda Farrell-Low, Monday Magazine

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever

I am musical director, composer, sound designer, and an actor in...

Kaleidoscope Theatre presents its hilarious and heart-warming production The Best Christmas Pageant Ever at the McPherson Playhouse December 5 - 13.

This adaptation of Barbara Robinson's popular modern Christmas classic is sure to entertain both young and old. This laugh-out-loud story concerns the efforts of a woman and her husband to put on the annual church Christmas pageant despite having to cast the Herdman kids -- the meanest, nastiest, most inventively awful kids in the history of the world. You won't believe the mayhem and the fun, when the Herdmans meet the Christmas story in a head on collision! "One of the best Christmas stories ever -- and certainly one of the funniest! -- Seattle Times

The production is directed by Leslie D. Bland, and designed by Sabrina Miller (set and costumes), Rebekah Johnson (lights), and Alexander Brendan Ferguson (sound and composition). Our stellar cast boasts a young company of 37 along side Victoria stand-outs Gina McIntosh, Roderick Glanville, Michael Shewchuk, Judith McDowell, Christina Patterson, Jane Broomfield, Alexander Brendan Ferguson, and Jeni Gunn.

Tickets are $ 23.50/ 21.50 through the McPherson box office.

Show dates/ times are: Saturday December 5th, 7 pm (Opening night reception included)
Sunday December 6th, 2 pm
Friday December 11th, 7 pm
Saturday December 12th, 4 pm
Sunday December13th, 2 pm
