Alexander has been a musician as long as he has been acting. High school consisted of singing with choirs and vocal jazz ensembles, playing keyboards in the jazz combo, singing in musicals, and spending much of his free time at home composing and arranging music. During high school, he founded the funk/pop/soul band whispering SOUL (who later became FUSE). For the band, he was a singer, the keyboardist, and the arranger of the music. He also wrote or co-wrote most of the songs. He's been a guest playing keyboards with the Loose Change Trio. Alexander plays keyboards on their album, "Unstruck Note". He also plays keys on Axiomatics' album "Kandahar blog". Current projects include playing keyboards, singing, and arranging music for a funk/soul cover band: Momentum, and recording his first album Attempts at 20/20.
